Pathways School & Youth Programmes |
Pathways utilise the artistic and technical disciplines of theatre |
We offer workshops in four main areas of education: |
National Curriculum Set Texts
By enacting key sections from plays and novels with professional actors and workshop leaders we make learning accessible and informative. Aimed for GCSE, A-Level subjects English and Drama. |
| Dramatic Disciplines As a working theatre company we employ many styles and techniques to enrich the theatrical experience. With direct references to text, our courses explore a variety of disciplines, from mask work to martial arts, Brecht to Stanislavski. |
| Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) In line with the curriculum's PSHE we offer courses that bring to light the areas of concern within young society, serving to open up lines of communication and help young people to make informed, educated decisions. Courses include Drug Awareness (Key stage 3 & 4), Sexual Health (Key Stage 3 & 4), Bullying and Friendship (Key stage 3) and Citizenship. |
| Cross Curricular Development Programme – ‘Whodunnit'
“…incredibly good fun and stimulating for the young people… the project incorporated many learning styles and areas of the curriculum all under a creative banner... the influence of Labyrinth Theatre helped to develop the confidence of the young people and engage them in their education.” TC Jefferson - Project Development Manager, Creative Partnerships |
| Designed in collaboration with Creative Partnerships, ‘Whodunnit' is a cross curricular programme combining Science, Maths, English, Geography and Drama with various aspects of PSHE. Available for years 9 and 10. |
